Dan Stimely, owner of River Valley Builders located on Paramount Road in Selinsgrove, Pa, has been attending dirt car races since he was a young child. He and his family share a love of racing, with drivers, supporters and fans, spanning three generations. His favorite all time racer was the K33 of Keith Kauffman.
In 2012, Dan, along with his wife Kelli, opened River Valley Builders, but he’s been working in the modular home industry since 1985. The first 27 years he worked in the manufacturing and wholesale side of business and the last 14 years he’s been involved on the retail side. This year he celebrates 41 years in an industry he’s very knowledgeable and passionate about.
In addition to owning River Valley Builders, Dan also operates a sister company, The Home Store, located in Whately, Massachusetts. Together these companies sell custom modular homes from Virginia to New Hampshire.
Dan sponsors several local racing teams who are proud to put River Valley Builders on their car. These drivers include the 410 sprint cars of Mike Walter and Dustin Baney and the 305 sprint cars of Ken Duke Jr., Dale Schweikart and Kruz Kepner.
Micro sprint drivers Tyler Clouse, Jessica Miller and her two daughters, late model driver Lane Snook and pro stock driver Cory Long are also all sponsored by River Valley Builders.
The Home Store sponsors Johnny Scarborough, a 305 driver from Vermont, and Hillary Renaud, an asphalt street stock driver, from New Hampshire.
In addition, River Valley Builders is the title sponsor for several sprint car series, including the Laurel Highlands Sprint Series, PA Sprint Series (PASS), the 305 IMCA division at Clinton County Speedway and the All Pro Speedstr Division at Action Track USA in Kutztown, PA.
River Valley Builders also sponsors the hard charger award for both the winged and wingless 600 series at Greenwood Valley Action Track in Millville, PA.
River Valley Builders and The Home Store offer discounts to first responders, military members, racing teams and racing fans who purchase a new home.
Dan, originally from Lewistown, currently resides in Selinsgrove with his wife Kelli. Dan is a proud father of two daughters, Courtney, Morgan and a bonus dad to daughter Alexandra and son, Connor. He also has two grandchildren.
Through their custom modular home businesses, Dan feels fortunate to be able to be actively involved in the racing community by sponsoring and supporting some great drivers and helping to keep this tradition alive for the next generation.
